INVITATION TO BID Bethel Park, Pennsylvania Municipality of Bethel Park Hazardous Material Abatement PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Municipality of Bethel Park intends to remove and abate asbestos and any other hazardous materials at the Fire Station - 5213 Brightwood Road, Barber Shop - 5219 Brightwood Road, Residence - 5174 Park Ave. and Residence - 5176 Park Ave. and is seeking sealed bids for this work. This is a public works project. Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:30 p.m. local time on April 2, 2014 at the Municipality of Bethel Park, 5100 West Library Ave., Attn: Municipal Manager, Bethel Park, PA 15102. The public bid opening will commence immediately following the above specified time at the location indicated. Each sealed enclosure containing a bid is to be endorsed on the outside with the name, address and telephone number of the bidder and is to state that it contains a bid for the Municipality of Bethel Park Hazardous Material Abatement. Bid security in the form of a 10% bid bond issued by an acceptable surety, bank or certified check payable to Municipality of Bethel Park is required. Bids must be in accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications and other bid documents for the project and must remain valid for forty-five (45) days. Bidding Documents may be obtained as follows: Bidders can order documents on an electronic CD for $50 plus shipping (non-refundable) from Northco Products. Bidders may also order complete sets of documents at cost, plus shipping (non-refundable) by phone, fax or mail from: Northco Products, 12 Walker Way, Albany, NY 12205, Phone: 518-869-6056, Fax: 888-281-0642. The successful bidder will be required to provide both a performance bond and a labor/material payment bond issued by acceptable sureties and to enter into a written contract with the Municipality of Bethel Park. A copy of the form of contract is included with the bid documents. The Municipality of Bethel Park reserves the right to reject any and all bids, re-advertise for new bids, and waive minor irregularities in bidding and to accept the bid that is best suited for the Municipality. Statement of non-collusion in bids & proposals: "By submission of this bid, each bidder and each person signing on behalf of any bidder certifies, and in the case of a joint bid each party thereto certifies as to its own organization, under penalty of perjury, that to the best of knowledge and belief: I. The prices in this bid have been arrived at independently without collusion, consultation, communication, or agreement, for the purpose of restricting competition, as to any matter relating to such prices with any other bidder or with any competitor. II. Unless otherwise required by law, the prices, which have been quoted in this bid, have not been knowingly disclosed by the bidder and will not knowingly be disclosed by the bidder prior to opening, directly or indirectly, to any other bidder or to any competitor. No attempt has been made or will be made to induce any other person, partnership or corporation to submit or not to submit a bid for the purpose of restricting competition."
