POLICE OFFICER O'HARA TOWNSHIP Applications are being accepted for the creation of an eligibility list for the position of police officer for the Township of O'Hara. An application form and details of the selection process must be obtained at the Township Building, 325 Fox Chapel Road, between the hours of 8:30 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. REQUIREMENTS (PARTIAL) Minimum age 21 years; good physical condition; possess a diploma from an accredited high school or graduate equivalence diploma with no fewer than 10,920 hours of experience (equivalent to six (6) years experience) as a full-time police officer, or possess a minimum of an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice with no fewer than 5,460 hours of experience (equivalent to three (3) years' experience) as a full-time police officer, or possess a baccalaureate degree in Criminal Justice; all applicants are required to submit payment of $35.00 with their application to cover the cost of testing; forms of payment accepted are cash, money order, or Mastercard/Visa/ Discover credit card; successful candidate shall serve one (1) year probationary period. SALARY/BENEFITS: Annual starting salary for newly hired police officer is $56,102 in 2014, retirement plan and health insurance. Complete application and all required transcripts must be submitted with the Civil Service Commission at the Township Building by 4:00 P.M., June 30, 2014.
